About The Storage Depot - Mills River
The Storage Depot Mills River is our newest fully climate-controlled, all indoor self-storage facility. All month-to-month leases, not long-term commitments, and affordable prices. All reservations are contactless and handled over the phone/electronically to maximize efficiency and your safety during COVID-19. Opened in December 2020, our units range in size from 5x5 up to 12x34. We offer secure, convenient access along with two freight loading docks. Conveniently located at the intersection of Haywood Road and Boylston Hwy, our storage units are easily accessible. We have 24/7/365 security, so your items are safe with us.

This is the third time I have rented a unit in Mills River. I come back here because it is will lit, clean and the service is always good.

Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢d give a five star review, but the day I moved in I had to use the loading dock stair entrance. This required me to carry everything up what was about a half flight of stairs and repeatedly enter a code to get inside. Otherwise the property is great.

The Storage Depot in what once was the Food Lion grocery store has proven to be a great use of an empty space and we welcome The Storage Depot to Mills River, NC. Several sizes available from which to choose. Easy online account set-up. We feel secure with the facility and our belongings during a relocation. A perfect facility for our needs!

When I needed extra space to store items before a sale, I thought of this facility. I have used it in the past and it is always clean and well lit. The units are easy to access , dollies are available for use and the staff is always kind and easy to work with.

Facility was great. Customer service and Self service features were easy to get going. But keypad was a bit confusing from instructions provided. We figured it out monkeying around with lock keypad. Press star"*" first then code then press "#".

I like the fact that the gate locks behind you and that you have to code yourself back in every time. Most people might find that a burden but think about it that somebody else is eyeballing you and your stuff and they don't have any business being there you can lock yourself inside until help comes to you.

Got a great deal on storage at The Storage Depot at Mills River in the old Food Lion location. The facility is clean, bright and climate controlled with roll down doors. All paperwork an payment was dealt with online. Not sure if there is any staff on-site during the week but you are on your own on the weekends. In addition, there are no large carts available, just hand trucks and 2 x 2 wheeled platforms.

This was the easiest thing to do! Reserve a spot, answer some questions, sign the contract, pay and get access, all done online and on the phone in under 30 minutes. Facility is clean and bright. I'm on my way to being clutter free (at home anyway)!

Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve been renting storage spaces for 30 years & this is absolutely the best turn key ease of access and processing I have ever experienced. Period. I processed the contract over the phone from 3000 miles away, flew in during a holiday week and filled my space the day after Christmas with no interruptions. Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve never seen a storage space business model work better than that! Storage Depot is the BEST.

Storing things as we move in this crazy housing market. Online reservations made easy by a quick follow up phone call to complete registration. Easy paperwork online. Easy access- it is inside so less convenient than a drive up unit, but very nice facility. We are storing smaller items this time around so it's perfect!

Carolina Storage Depot in Mills River, NC, is a contactless facility. After making your online reservation, you must call to get your contract signed, and get your unit number and access code. Very clean, efficient system, especially during the Covid pandemic! You will need to purchase your own padlock before putting your things in storage. My only suggestion would be having larger hand trucks and dollies on site for customer use. The ones there are the small size most people keep in their household garage.
